1.) you can’t be racist against white people. Racism = privilege + power which white people have in our society. That is a fact.
2.) I, in no way, implied that being white and European is a bad thing. I was merely saying that Caucasian is an outdated term based on racist ideology. I suggest you look up the origin of the word Caucasian instead of looking it up in a dictionary. There’s even a Wikipedia article. If you really want to stick to your guns, use the word “white”. It is much more to the point.

He is mixed race. Are you really going to make this argument. I am mixed race, I do not consider myself either Vietnamese or white. I am mixed. My children will be mixed. Not all my descendants have children with white people, their children will be mixed. If my descendants do have children with white people, they will still be mixed. Assassin’s Creed makes the point of racial diversity. Do you really think that Desmond’s a straight up white guy? Do you really think that this game is not going to make the point that he is something that is not just white.

One, no. I did not use it as insult. I used it as a term to describe someone. Where did it seem that I was demeaning white people. Where did it look like I was saying white people are something to be afraid of. Where did I say being white made you a bad person. Did you not see, I am half white. As messed up as I am, I do not think I’m a bad person. It is not my race that determines any of this.
I’m genuinely curious though, if you answer nothing else, answer this, where did I say being white was a bad thing.

1.) We have no idea what Desmond’s mother looks like either, so she could very much be a WOC. Given his ancestors’ history of interracial and intercultural marriage, this would be continuing the “theme” of a rich mixed background for Desmond.
2.) And in case you’re completely new, Desmond’s face model (and the face model for Altair and Ezio in the first three games) is Francisco Randez who is of French-Canadian/Spanish background. Yet, his features and skin color are ambiguous enough to give us an appearance of a mixed racial man. Considering his face was used BOTH for Altair and Ezio who are of different backgrounds this leads credence to the choice of Francisco as a face model.
3.) Caucasian is an inaccurate and outdated term for “white” that stems from theories about white supremacy. So, no—Desmond isn’t “Caucasian” unless he came directly from the Caucas region.
4.) Why not? Why not have a mixed race hero? What is the fucking problem with that? We are given various games in which we play his ancestors of mixed backgrounds (Altair is mixed, Connor is mixed, Ezio is the only outlier) which would lead us to assume that down the line Desmond is also mixed—which thematically is to both reflect real world people who have rich interracial backgrounds and to give us a hero who is a mix of various cultures races and ethnicities—a true representative of the global Assassin Order.
